"So You're In the Family Business Webcast Series": Surviving and Thriving Through Generations
Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. ET
Statistics suggest that only 1/3 of family businesses survive through the second generation, and even less than that make it on to the third. It’s no secret that the dynamics of family enterprise include some of the most varied and complex relationships. So how can a family business create a legacy and successfully transition from generation to generation? Join us on Wednesday, September 21st, as we welcome the 15th, 9th, and 3rd generations of three of the most successful and storied family businesses in the nation, when they will share their secrets to successfully passing on their family legacies through multiple generations. Our speakers include:
- Cady Zildjian, 15th Generation of the Avedis Zildjian Company, Norwell, Massachusetts
- Marcia Galvin, 9th Generation of Normandy Farms Campground, Foxboro, Massachusetts
- Matt Salmon, 3rd Generation of Salmon Health & Retirement, headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts
Moderated by Paul and David Karofsky of Transition Consulting Group, “Surviving and Thriving Through Generations” will explore the successful methods and best practices that each family business undertook to ensure that its legacy survived and thrived with each passing generation.
